The Pexip Web App allows you to join a conference without needing to download any software, and also provides a number of features that can be used during your conference.
To start sharing your screen, simply click the “Share my screen” button in the main toolbar. You’ll then be asked to select which window or application you’d like to share. Once you’ve made your selection, your screen will be shared with all other participants in the conference.
If you need to stop sharing your screen at any time, just click the “Stop sharing” button in the toolbar. Your screen will then go blank and all other participants will no longer be able to see what you’re doing.
Pexip also offers a number of features that can be used while screen sharing. For example, you can annotate your screen to draw attention to specific items, or use the laser pointer to highlight items on your screen. To access these features, simply click the “More” button in the toolbar and then select the “Annotations” or “Laser pointer” option.
Supported web browsers
The following browsers support Pexip in the Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android operating systems:

- Built-in or external microphone or headset, to send and receive audio
- Webcam, to send and receive video
Connect to a conference
The first time you use the Pexip Web App to join a videoconference, your browser will prompt you to choosethe device you want to use for audio and video.
If you’re using the Pexip Web App in a browser on a Windows, Mac or Linux computer:
Make sure your microphone and webcam are plugged in to your computer.
Click “Allow” when prompted by the browser to access your microphone and camera.
Select the audio and video input devices you want to use from the drop-down menus.
If you’re using the Pexip Web App on an Android device:
Open the Settings app.
Tap “Apps” and then select the Pexip Web App from the list of installed apps.
Tap “Permissions” and then enable the “Microphone” and “Camera” permissions.
Note: If you’re using the Pexip Web App on an iOS device, you will need to use the Safari web browser as Chrome does not support microphone and camera access on iOS.
To join a conference, simply enter the Conference ID or alias and your name in the fields provided, then click the “Join conference” button.
If you’re joining a Pexip Infinity virtual meeting room:
Enter the virtual meeting room’s address in the “Conference ID or alias” field. The address is in the format email@example.com, for example firstname.lastname@example.org.
You are now connected to the conference
If the conference you join is protected with a PIN, you will be prompted to enter the PIN.
You can also join a conference by clicking on a link in an email invitation or calendar event. Simply click the link and you will be taken to the Pexip Web App where you can enter your name and join the conference.
